Transferring waste into value

International Management Partners has assisted Hoier Resources ApS in establishing a Waste Recycling Plant in Ghana. Recycling under formal structures has previously not existed in Ghana.

The joint venture will collect and recycle more than 60,000 tonnes of waste in 2009, a figure expected to increase to 100,000 tonnes within a 3-year period. The project is the most ambitious waste project in Ghana and is an exceptional example of a company utilizing a first mover strategy in an emerging market.

IMP has from the start and in the implementation phases been vital for the project. Valuable professional knowledge has been added within the field of investment and finance, coordination in relation to the B2B program and a structured approach to analysis.

IMP consultants have in all phases held workshops in order to increase understanding and real ownership of the project and thereby ensuring implementation with a long-term perspective.
